From files to flow: Redefining the geospatial data exchange through the cloud
In an era defined by increasing infrastructure complexity and a tightening labor market, the traditional silos between field data collection and office analysis have become a primary bottleneck. This session explores the shift from linear, manual data exchange to a dynamic, cloud-enabled common data environment (CDE) that serves as the heartbeat of modern surveying. Find out how integrated, cloud-native workflows do more than just accelerate data transfer; they fundamentally transform the surveyor's role from a data provider to a strategic consultant. By bridging the gap between high-precision field operations and sophisticated office processing through a unified ecosystem, geospatial professionals can unlock real-time collaboration with stakeholders and clients. Join this session to learn how embracing a connected digital thread minimizes risk, ensures a single source of truth and provides the transparency required to meet the evolving demands of tomorrow’s built environment.

Sovereign by design: Are you really in control of your geospatial data
Data sovereignty is not a buzzword anymore. It is a strategic advantage, and a question you can no longer afford to ignore. As technology accelerates and geopolitics grow more unpredictable, where your data lives has become just as important as what your data can do. When world leaders openly threaten to restrict or cut off data access for political reasons, keeping your data close to home is not paranoia. It is smart business.
At AI-InfraSolutions, data sovereignty has been our principle from day one. In the Netherlands, all our data lives on Dutch servers, secure, compliant, and under local control. We built Spatiall, our end-to-end geospatial platform, around exactly that idea: innovation without surrendering control. And because we build sovereignty in from the start, we help our partners abroad keep their data in their own country too, wherever that is possible.
In this session we cut through the noise. You will see why data location matters right now, how it shapes risk, resilience, and trust, and what a truly sovereign-by-design geospatial solution looks like in practice.
Come listen, then visit us at stand C6C145 to see Spatiall in action and talk about how sovereignty can put your mind at ease.

Making Gaussian Splats Useful: Merging LiDAR Accuracy with Visual Fidelity in CAD
Gaussian Splatting has changed the game for photorealistic rendering, but the real challenge is moving beyond pretty pictures and turning that data into something an engineer can actually use. This presentation explores how we are integrating these high-fidelity models into professional CAD workflows. We will start with a brief look at what makes Gaussian splats unique and why they provide a level of detail that traditional meshes often miss. The presentation shows TerraSplat in action. We will show how this software allows users to visualize georeferenced Gaussian splats directly inside CAD. This shift turns a visual model into a functional design asset that can be used for everything from digital twin creation to precise visual assessment work. To wrap up, the presentation covers the advanced merging capabilities of TerraScan. We will show how to fuse classified LiDAR point clouds with Gaussian splat data covering the same area. This process is a breakthrough for the industry because it allows the splats to inherit the classification and precision of the LiDAR. By adding this semantic layer, users can dynamically hide or show specific objects and perform improved visual analysis. We are effectively moving from a single uniform Gaussian Splat "blob" to an organized, intelligent model ready for serious design work.

Breaking the Line of Sight: A Paradigm Shift in Construction Layout
This session explores a fundamental shift in construction layout workflows, where robotic total stations and prism-based methods have long been defined by the constraint of line of sight. With the introduction of Topcon Origo, users can perform accurate layout even in obstructed and complex indoor environments. Paired with purpose-built, easy-to-use software, this approach simplifies adoption and extends high-precision layout capabilities beyond traditional surveying roles.
The presentation will examine the challenges of indoor layout with robotic total stations, where maintaining line of sight to the prism is critical for operation and accuracy. It will also address the limitations of GNSS, which provides positioning without line of sight but is largely restricted to outdoor use. By bridging this gap, Origo enables more flexible and efficient workflows, helping teams reduce downtime, increase productivity, and complete layout tasks with greater confidence.
Attendees will gain insight into how this innovation improves jobsite performance and supports evolving digital construction processes. Join this session to see how Origo is redefining layout workflows and enabling a new level of productivity in the field.

From Maps to Feature Spaces: New Ways to Understand Geospatial Data
Geospatial data is not only about coordinates. With LiDAR, remote sensing, sensor networks, digital twins, IoT, and AI-based processing pipelines, geographic objects are increasingly described by rich sets of attributes: height, shape, condition, context, similarity, uncertainty to name a few. These attributes form high-dimensional feature spaces — the same conceptual space in which many AI models represent and compare objects. This talk explores how such feature spaces can become accessible for geospatial analysis. Instead of looking only at where objects are located on a map, we ask: Which objects are similar? Which ones are unusual? Which spatial patterns only become visible when thematic, structural, and analytical attributes are considered together? Using examples from multivariate geospatial data, including urban tree inventories derived from mobile mapping and LiDAR, the talk introduces an interactive visual analytics perspective in which geospatial objects can be rearranged according to selected features, similarity relations, and spatial criteria. The aim is not to replace maps, but to complement them: by moving between geographic space and feature space, analysts can discover latent groups, outliers, correlations, and AI-relevant patterns that remain hidden in conventional map views. The talk invites GIS professionals, researchers, and decision-makers to rethink geospatial visualization as an interface between maps, data science, and AI-assisted spatial understanding.

Openness and standards – insights, overview and foresight using the example of the city of Landsberg am Lech
Central digital data storage is the decisive basis for access to relevant project data. Standards provide the necessary structure to capture the level of detail, dependencies, and complexity. Visualization allows users with different requirements to understand projects rationally and emotionally. The difference between grabbing and grasping. The presentation will show the complete range of spatial expansion, depth of detail and integration into existing processes and solutions using the practical example of the digital twin* of the city of Landsberg. Directly after the presentation, questions and suggestions are expressly welcome and individual requirements, as well as questions about the solutions shown, can be discussed live at the workplace at the booth. * As part of the mFUND funding project "TwinCity3D", a geodata-based approach was created as the basis for a digital twin for the application areas of climate protection, mobility and urban planning, especially for small and medium-sized towns without an explicit smart city strategy. In the course of the project, the urban area of Landsberg am Lech was flown several times with an ultralight aircraft. The resulting aerial photo products were evaluated using specially developed AI algorithms. The new system for collecting geodata from the air opens up completely new possibilities for the analysis of urban structures. The municipal tree cadastre could be supplemented by trees and bushes on private land. The evaluation of the thermal images provides insights into the temperature distribution within the urban area and thus optimizes the analysis of the urban climate. In addition, it was possible to balance the land use of parking traffic and evaluate its distribution between the different types of land. Another focus was on the integration of plans into the virtual 3D city model. For this purpose, an import tool for XPlanGML and IFC files, as well as a LOD2 planning tool were developed and integrated.

How to use any BIM Common Data Environment (e.g. ACCA, Autodesk, Bentley, Dassault, Trimble) with GIS to create Spatial Digital Twins using openBIM® models and point clouds
Most organizations working at the intersection of BIM and GIS face the same structural problem: their data lives in multiple Common Data Environments — sometimes different CDEs across different departments, projects, or stakeholders — and no single platform speaks all of them fluently. This session addresses that problem head-on. The presentation demonstrates how usBIM.geotwin, acca's cloud-based GIS platform, connects natively with any major CDE — including ACCA, Autodesk, Bentley, Dassault, and Trimble — to extract openBIM® models in IFC format and integrate them directly into an ESRI ArcGIS environment. The result is a vendor-neutral, open-standard workflow that eliminates the need to choose between BIM platforms: organizations can keep working in the CDE they already use, while feeding a shared Geospatial Digital Twin with consistent, interoperable data. The session then explores what becomes possible once that integration is in place. usBIM.geotwin imposes no practical limits on the scale of what can be managed: from individual structures to regional infrastructure networks, from dozens of assets to thousands, from city districts to full smart city deployments. Multiple IFC models from different sources and different CDEs can be combined into a single unified geospatial environment, queried together, and updated independently — without rebuilding the underlying data architecture. A dedicated section addresses point cloud integration: how raw scan data can be ingested into the platform, segmented into meaningful components, enriched with structured attributes, and published on the GIS alongside traditional BIM models. This opens the door to accurate digital twinning of existing assets — infrastructure, heritage buildings, urban environments — where IFC models may not yet exist or may not be the primary data source. Taken together, these three capabilities — CDE interoperability, unlimited scalability, and point cloud support — define a new baseline for what a production-ready Geospatial Digital Twin platform should be able to do. Attendees will leave with a concrete understanding of the integration workflow, the technical architecture that makes it possible, and the practical implications for organizations managing large, heterogeneous asset portfolios across extended territories.

One Ground Truth: Aligning Multi-Source Geospatial Data
Digital twins, BIM-GIS integration, and modern reality capture workflows all depend on one foundational requirement: geospatial alignment. Yet in practice, lidar, photogrammetry, orthoimagery, and elevation data are often created from varying acquisition methods and coordinate reference systems, introducing misalignment that impacts accuracy, analysis, and downstream decision-making. This presentation demonstrates how geodetically inconsistent datasets can compromise the reliability of a digital twin, even when the underlying data itself is high quality. Using a real-world multi-source dataset consisting of terrestrial lidar, drone-derived photogrammetric point clouds, orthoimagery, and elevation models, attendees will see how coordinate inconsistencies create visible and measurable errors across both 2D and 3D environments. Using the latest version of Global Mapper and the integrated GeoCalc engine, the session walks through how disparate datasets can be transformed into a unified geospatial framework with consistent horizontal and vertical reference systems. Attendees will also see how new capabilities, including automated point cloud analysis and enhanced reality capture workflows, support more scalable, accurate, and operationally efficient geospatial processing. The result is a more accurate, trustworthy, and operationally useful product, along with a practical understanding of why geodetic integrity remains foundational to modern geospatial workflows.

Next-Generation Deformation Monitoring
This session explores how continuous optical deformation monitoring can complement traditional surveying and instrumentation on live infrastructure projects, using a UK tunnel monitoring case study as a practical example. The project involved monitoring tunnel deformation during nearby construction activities, including excavation and piling, where access constraints and maintenance requirements made conventional approaches challenging. A compact optical monitoring system was installed alongside an automated total station to observe the same survey targets, allowing direct comparison of performance, accuracy, and operational impact. Attendees will learn how continuous, remote monitoring can reduce site visits, provide earlier insight into structural behaviour, and support risk management without replacing established surveying methods. The session will focus on lessons learned from real deployment, including installation constraints, data interpretation, and how continuous data changes engineering decision-making.

Auditable Area Classification in Municipal Heat Planning: LLM-Supported Inventory Analysis with Source and Data-Gap Transparency
Germany's Heat Planning Act (Wärmeplanungsgesetz, WPG) requires municipalities to divide their territory into prospective heat-supply areas including district-heating areas (Wärmenetzgebiete), areas to be examined (Prüfgebiete), and areas for decentralized supply by 2026/2028. In doing so, the responsible planning authorities must combine spatially rich but analytically isolated geodata (building footprints, ALKIS, the 2022 Census, LoD2 heights) with extensive and frequently amended legal and methodological texts. Existing energy atlases deliver static maps without legal traceability, while document-based AI tools remain location-agnostic. Neither answers the question that is decisive for any review: why is this hectare classified this way, and on what authority?
We present a working geospatial decision-support prototype that treats auditability as a first-class design goal. Per-building heat demand is aggregated to a hectare grid and classified into three-level supply zones. Every classification is linked to both its underlying data and the governing legal clause. A spatially-grounded Retrieval-Augmented Generation engine (GeoRAG) answers free-form questions over the real corpus (the WPG, the federal Leitfaden Wärmeplanung, and a state guideline (KEA-BW)) returning deep-linked citations that explicitly distinguish binding law from advisory convention (e.g., the 600/300 MWh/(ha·a) density threshold is flagged as methodological, not statutory) and expose the underlying legal version (Rechtsstand).
In the pilot city of Lippstadt (NRW; ≈1293 GWh/a total heat demand), 11806 hectare cells are classified into 537 district-heating candidates, 1112 Prüfgebiete, and 10157 decentralized cells and the 537 network-candidate cells concentrating 45.2% of total demand. The system fuses map and legal reasoning, surfaces measured-vs-modeled data-confidence, supports live what-if heat-source scenarios, and quantifies the classification's sensitivity to convention-based thresholds.
Because the answers come from a swappable set of source documents, the same tool can be adapted to another region simply by exchanging federal guidance for state guidance. The contribution is a reusable design for heat-planning tools that stay spatially precise, always cite their legal source, and clearly mark where the data is uncertain, for use by municipalities, utilities, and planning offices.

Talk to Your Gaussian Splat: Using Prompts to Construct and Understand Reality Capture
Gaussian Splatting has made it easier than ever to create beautiful, detailed 3D models of buildings, cities, and infrastructure. Yet for most teams, these models still require specialized tools, manual inspection, and significant effort to extract insights. This session explores an emerging paradigm: turning image captures automatically to interactive 3D Gaussian Splat environments using simple prompts. Instead of navigating complex software, users can begin to ask questions like: “Construct a Guassian splat using these images,” “Identify where vegetation is encroaching on power lines,” or “Extract machines on this factory floor as separate 3D models?” These interactions point toward a new layer - often described as spatial agents - where AI systems can interpret 3D environments and help surface insights such as measurements, risks, or areas of interest. Through examples across industries, we will explore how prompt-driven interaction could shift 3D models from static visualization toward more conversational systems, and what this may mean for the future of digital twins.

Location for Physical AI
Precision location is the invisible foundation upon which Physical AI is built. In this talk, Tom Weeks, COO of Point One Navigation, explains how high-precision positioning technologies, specifically RTK (Real-Time Kinematic) and a modern positioning engine, enable autonomous systems to operate safely and reliably in the physical world. Whether autonomous vehicles, robots, or drones, autonomy breaks down without centimeter-accurate positioning. Tom will walk through how Point One Navigation's positioning engine fuses raw data from GNSS, IMU, and other sensors, then applies RTK correction data in real time to achieve centimeter-level accuracy, even in challenging environments such as urban canyons and GNSS-denied areas. Key topics include: - Why standard GNSS is insufficient for autonomy and what precision location actually requires - How RTK corrections work and why a robust positioning engine is critical to bridging the gap between raw satellite signals and actionable location data - The role of sensor fusion (GNSS + IMU + other modalities) in maintaining accuracy when satellite signals are degraded or unavailable - Real-world deployment examples of autonomous systems powered by precision location - The future of Physical AI and the role geospatial technology will play as autonomy scales Attendees will leave with a clear understanding of the technical requirements for precise positioning in autonomous systems and a framework for evaluating location solutions in their own Physical AI applications.

From VHR Imagery to Actionable Insights: The Evolution of Reality-Based Simulation Environments
In an era of rapid urban transformation and increasing climate volatility, the demand for high-fidelity geospatial data has evolved beyond traditional mapping. Modern decision-making requires environments that are not only visually realistic but also physically consistent and reactive. This presentation explores the industrial evolution of Airbus Defence and Space’s 3D portfolio, demonstrating a tiered approach to solving complex environmental and operational challenges. We present a solution-oriented portfolio designed to bridge the gap between raw satellite acquisition and actionable digital twins: - High-Resolution Foundations: Delivering foundational Digital Surface and Terrain Models (DSM/DTM) at 0.5m GSD, providing the sub-metric precision necessary for accurate ground-clearance and line-of-sight computations. - Scalable 3D Mesh: Advanced automated reconstruction techniques that transform Very High Resolution (VHR) satellite imagery into reliable 3D models, offering a reliable middle round between raw data and immersive environments. - Integrated 3D Simulation Environments: The next frontier in our portfolio. By co-extracting terrain, semantic landcover (24 classes), and 3D objects from a single correlated source - specifically leveraging the Pléiades Neo constellation and the upcoming CO3D constellation - we ensure perfect internal consistency between all layers. This evolution is driven by the need for actionable insights. By strictly relying on real-world data rather than procedural generation, we provide the trustworthy foundations required for the next generation of calculations: urban thermal simulation, flood resilience modeling, and mission rehearsal in complex terrains. Our AI-driven pipeline enables the rapid generation of these massive datasets, while adhering to OGC standards such as 3D Tiles and Cloud Optimized GeoTIFF (COG) to ensure seamless interoperability. Looking forward, this ecosystem is designed to support evolving the diversity of industry requirements, with additional standard formats like OGC CDB or MIMs plus AOI currently being prepared for future catalog integration.

Fathom: An Integrated Airborne Topo-bathy Lidar System for High‑Resolution Shallow‑Water Bathymetry in Coastal and Riverine Environments
Fathom is an advanced airborne lidar system optimized for high resolution shallow water bathymetry and topographic mapping in coastal zones, rivers, and inland waterways. It is specifically designed to support river management, sediment transport studies, environmental monitoring, coastal security, and geomorphologic investigations, where shallow depths and complex land–water transitions dominate. The system employs an integrated topo bathy architecture combining a dual frequency 60 kHz bathymetric laser (532 nm and 1064 nm) with a four channel segmented detector array optimized for shallow water. This configuration enables robust bottom detection up to 21 m in clear water (Kd ≈ 0.1) for coastal and riverine environments, while maintaining deeper water capability up to 32 m. An effective 240 kHz bathymetric sounding rate in full waveform mode is complemented by a 1.5 MHz topographic channel, allowing seamless, single pass acquisition across land and water surfaces under a unified calibration framework. This paper presents validation results from test flights over Lake Ontario and Lake Huron, using Canadian Hydrographic Service (CHS) reference data. Results demonstrate sub decimeter vertical coherence, reliable water surface detection, and shallow water performance consistent with system design expectations. The measured accuracies meet IHO S 44 Order 1a bathymetric and USACE QL0B topographic standards, confirming Fathom’s suitability for precision shallow water mapping, hydrographic charting, and rapid response operations in dynamic coastal and riverine settings.

Safe and efficient railway surveying through drone-based laser scanning during ongoing operations
The precise surveying of railway infrastructure under live operating conditions represents a significant challenge. Strict safety requirements, limited accessibility, and operational constraints considerably restrict conventional measurement methods.
The use of drone-based laser scanning provides an innovative and practical solution. UAV-based LiDAR data acquisition from outside hazardous areas significantly enhances personnel safety while enabling efficient capture of large track sections within short timeframes.
High absolute accuracies are achieved through the integration of kinematic UAV scan data with terrestrial laser scans. Georeferencing is performed via track survey control points, which are automatically detected and incorporated within the terrestrial datasets, ensuring a robust and consistent overall geometry.
The presented method combines safety, efficiency, and precision, offering substantial benefits for end users in the digital acquisition, analysis, and planning of railway infrastructure - even under real operating conditions.

From Model Preparation to Connected Worksites: Xsite Rewise for Machine Control and Surveying
Model-based infrastructure workflows depend on high-quality, consistent data for machine control and surveying. In practice, creating and preparing that data for mixed-brand worksites can still be complex. Differences in file formats, coordinate and height reference systems, and project coding practices can create inefficiencies and limit interoperability across the site. Xsite Rewise is designed to simplify this process. Launching internationally at INTERGEO 2026, the software enables users to create and manage model-based data for machine control and field surveying in a more efficient and standardized way. It is built to work with common model data formats used across the industry, helping users prepare and refine project data for a wide range of infrastructure worksite workflows. In addition, Xsite Rewise also supports ISO/TS 15143-4 worksites by handling and producing the key data elements defined by the standard. These include the standard’s own exchange format, ISOLandXML, as well as the management of coordinate systems, height systems, and code lists. Xsite Rewise brings these essential project definitions together into one workflow, helping users prepare data more consistently for modern infrastructure worksites. In the case of Novatron’s Xsite Manage, this information can also be transferred directly to the cloud, supporting connected and scalable site workflows. This session introduces Xsite Rewise and shows how it helps turn model preparation into practical everyday workflows. It highlights how the software supports more efficient data production for machine control and surveying across different file formats and project environments, and how Novatron is turning both open model-based workflows and ISO/TS 15143-4 compatibility into practical solutions for connected infrastructure projects.

How We Built a scalable Scan2BIM Ecosystem: Delivering 2,000 Projects and 1 Million m² Across the US, UAE, and EU
We started as a small Scan2BIM company and quickly realized that standard project management tools were not enough for scaling operations internationally.
As the number of projects, employees, subcontractors, and countries grew, we began developing our own ERP system tailored specifically for Scan2BIM workflows and production management.
We built the system directly in code instead of using existing boxed or low-code ERP solutions, because they were not flexible enough for our operational needs.
The platform now covers:
project and workflow management,
internal teams and subcontractors,
deadlines and execution control,
KPI and motivation systems,
equipment tracking,
work schedules,
travel expenses,
financial processes and receivables,
production analytics.
Today we continue expanding the platform into a full ecosystem for Scan2BIM, architecture, and design studios by integrating:
BIM viewers,
task trackers,
collaboration tools,
This presentation is our practical experience of building a scalable operational ecosystem that enabled us to deliver more than 2,000 projects and 1 million m² across the US, UAE, and the European Union.

Edge Intelligence: Real-Time Quality Validation in High-Pace Environments
In the high-pressure environment of formwork and concrete trades, traditional reality capture is often too slow to be actionable. This session explores how "Edge Intelligence"—processing data directly in the field—transforms scanning from a passive recording tool into an active quality-validation system. By analyzing site conditions in real-time, we enable the immediate detection of deviations between perfect digital designs and imperfect physical environments . We will examine how this automated workflow distinguishes between structural elements and job-site variables, providing layout professionals with high-fidelity integrity reports on demand. Attendees will learn how shifting intelligence to the field minimizes data latency and empowers teams to maintain rigorous quality standards without sacrificing velocity.
